Step-by-Step Guide

Create a Session

Click "Create New Session" and fill in your session details. Choose a name (this becomes your link), add your group/channel link, and select how the session should end (by contact count or time). A preview image will be automatically generated for your session.

Get Your Unique Link

After creating, you'll receive a unique link like https://vcf-generator.brenaldmedia.com/session/your-group-name. When shared, this link automatically shows a preview image with your session details (session name, goal, participants count).

Share the Link

Share the link with your group, team, or community on WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or anywhere else. When people click it, they can add their contact information (name, phone, email).

Collect Contacts

Watch the contacts roll in! Everyone who adds their info will be listed (phone numbers are partially hidden for privacy). The contact counter updates in real-time.

Download VCF File

When the session ends (by reaching the contact count or time limit), all participants receive an email notification with the download link. You can also download the VCF file directly from the session page. Data remains available for 48 hours after session ends before permanent deletion.

What is a VCF file?
A VCF (vCard) file is a standard format for storing contact information. It can be imported directly into your phone's contacts, email clients (Gmail, Outlook), and CRMs. One VCF file can contain multiple contacts, making it perfect for sharing group contacts.
How do session links work?
Each session gets a unique link using your session name: https://vcf-generator.brenaldmedia.com/session/your-session-name. When shared, the link automatically shows:
  • A preview image with session name, goal, and participant count
  • The contact form for adding information
  • The list of participants who've already joined
No complex setup needed!
How long do sessions last?
You choose! Sessions can end by either:
  • Contact Count: Ends when a specific number of contacts are added (max 1000)
  • Time Duration: Ends after custom time (minutes, hours, or days - up to 365 days)
After ending, data stays for 48 hours before permanent deletion. Warning emails are sent 24 hours before time-based sessions end.
Can I see who added their contact?
Yes! Session creators and participants can see:
  • List of names and emails of everyone who joined
  • Real-time contact counter
  • Phone numbers are partially hidden (only last 4 digits visible) for privacy protection
What happens when a session ends?
When a session ends:
  • All participants receive an email notification with the download link
  • The download button becomes available on the session page
  • No more contacts can be added
  • Data remains available for 48 hours for download
  • After 48 hours, the session is permanently deleted and shows 404 page
How do I import VCF file on iPhone (iOS)?

📱 Method 1: Direct Download (Recommended)

  1. Tap the Download VCF File button on the session page
  2. When the file downloads, tap on it in Safari (it will show a preview)
  3. Tap the Share icon (square with arrow) at the bottom
  4. Scroll down and tap "Save to Files" or "Add to Contacts"
  5. If you chose "Add to Contacts", the contacts will be added directly
  6. If you saved to Files, open the Files app, tap the .vcf file, then tap "Add to Contacts"

✉️ Method 2: Via Email (Alternative)

  1. Download the VCF file to your iPhone
  2. Open the Mail app and compose a new email
  3. Attach the .vcf file to the email
  4. Send it to yourself, then open the email on your iPhone
  5. Tap the attachment and select "Add to Contacts"

☁️ Method 3: Via iCloud (For multiple contacts)

  1. Download the VCF file to your computer
  2. Go to iCloud.com on your computer
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID
  4. Open Contacts app
  5. Click the gear icon ⚙️ and select "Import vCard"
  6. Select the VCF file - contacts will sync to your iPhone automatically
Note: Some iPhone users may need to enable "Show All Contacts" in Settings > Contacts > Accounts to see imported contacts. Also make sure iCloud Contacts sync is enabled.
How do I import VCF file on Android?

🤖 Method 1: Direct Import (Easiest)

  1. Tap the Download VCF File button on the session page
  2. Once downloaded, tap on the notification or open your Files app
  3. Locate the .vcf file (usually in Downloads folder)
  4. Tap the file - it will automatically open the Contacts app
  5. Select "Import" or "Add to Contacts"
  6. Choose where to save (Google account or Phone storage)

📱 Method 2: Via Contacts App

  1. Open the Contacts or Phone app
  2. Tap the Menu (three lines) or Settings
  3. Select "Import/Export" or "Import from storage"
  4. Choose the VCF file from your Downloads folder
  5. Confirm import when prompted

🔧 Method 3: Via Google Contacts (Web)

  1. Go to contacts.google.com on your computer
  2. Click "Import" from the left sidebar
  3. Select the VCF file
  4. Contacts will sync to your Android phone automatically
Is my data safe?
Absolutely! We take privacy seriously:
  • Phone numbers are hidden from public view (only last 4 digits shown)
  • All data is encrypted and stored securely in Supabase
  • Sessions auto-delete after 48 hours of ending
  • No personal data is sold or shared with third parties

How do I import the VCF file to my phone?
iPhone (iOS): Download the file, tap it, tap the Share icon, then select "Add to Contacts" or "Save to Files" then open and add.

Android: Download the file, tap it, and select "Import" when prompted.

Gmail/Google Contacts: Go to contacts.google.com, click "Import", and select the VCF file.

Outlook: Click File → Open & Export → Import/Export → Import vCard file.
What if my session ends and I need more time?
Once a session ends, it cannot be reactivated. However, you can:
  • Download the VCF file immediately after it ends
  • Create a new session with a longer duration or higher contact limit
  • Data remains available for 48 hours, so you have plenty of time to download
